   From a physical point of view, Bima does have a stocky, strong, black body because he rarely wears clothes. We can see this from Hidimbi's words when he saw Bima on guard waiting for his brothers who were sleeping in the middle of an open forest,

     Bima is the second child of Kunti and Pandu, but Bima was born from Kunti's union with Dewa Bayu or the God of Wind. Other names for the Bima character are Raden Werkodara, Bhimasena, Bayusuta and in the context of wayang in Bali it is often called Anak Agung Made. Bima, who was born from the incarnation of Dewa Bayu (the god of breathing energy) is synonymous with the symbol of the power possessed by the Bima character. Bayu or Wind has the power to destroy the world maybe in just a few seconds

     Occasionally, Bima's character is that of a Satria who knows his obligations, namely upholding truth and justice, even if it means fighting. The spirit of true patriot is indeed the original character of the Bima character. This was seen when he and his siblings spent twelve years in exile. Bima urged Yudistira to immediately fight against the Kauravas, whom he considered deviant and correct

     All the obstacles that hindered Bima's steps finally brought him to meet Dewaruci. It was here that Bima learned the essence of the highest knowledge. In the colophon it is stated "Iti Tattwa-jnana nirmala apusira Ciwamurti" (Ibid, 1934: 87) or this is the core truth of sacred knowledge as a binder for Siwamurti.

     Thus the character Bima in Nawaruci has very high knowledge, which he acquires and his selfless struggle for the sake of his teacher. Bima did not deliberately study with Dewaruci, but for the efforts he made in order to find Tirtha Pawitra.
